ABOUT US
"Hands-on" is our trademark philosophy. We are dynamic and enthusiastic about what we do, always eager to find solutions and support our clients. Through hard work and close collaboration, we bring a successful outcome to our clients.
OUR PROJECTS
New technologies often require starting from zero; no machinery, no previous experience, no books, no one to ask. MD&S can develop, design, and build the manufacturing process and machinery from the ground up.
Houston-based GEXP needed a welding system capable of minimizing HAZ in order to maintain the integrity of the parent material. We designed and built a unique fiber laser welding system for a quarter of the original $1 million quote. The system consists a 5 axis machine, 500 watt power supply, wire feeder, vacuum system, and a Class 4 laser safety and protection enclosure. It was successfully tested in 2014.

Digital and Physical Prototyping

Custom Machinery
Sometimes the machinery you have does not meet your changing needs. Whether the machine is hydraulic, pneumatic, or motion controlled, we can design and build what you need. We can create a new machine or upgrade an existing machine to achieve optimum performance without breaking the budget.
Our digital prototyping capabilities help to visualize and test products before expending the resources needed to build physical prototypes. We develop the concept, create sketches, and design 3D models, assemblies, renders, and animations. Digital prototyping helps us to select materials, identify design flaws, manage fit and interference among components, reduce costs, and maximize the budget.
We are ready to build a working physical prototype with confidence.
